Mariana Campos

Master's Student

I am a MSc student in Oncobiology at the School of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. I am conducting my MSc Thesis at the Correia Lab, where I am studying mechanisms of immune regulation of metastatic breast cancer dormancy.

Latest Publications

Mariana Campos completed her Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2024 at NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-Nova), in Lisbon. For her bachelor thesis, she joined the Laboratory of Human Immunodeficiency & Immune Reconstitution led by Ana Espada de Sousa at iMM, where she studied HIV reservoirs in human patients. Driven by her interest in disease mechanisms, Mariana pursued a Master’s program in Oncobiology at the School of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.

In September 2025, Mariana joined the Correia Lab to develop her Master's thesis. Under close supervision of Catarina Matos, she investigates tissue-specific immune regulation of metastatic breast cancer dormancy.
